Blackberry Simple Syrup with Mint

blackberries

fresh mint
Instructions
Combine sugar and water in small saucepan
Bring to a simmer over medium heat, add blackberries
Simmer until sugar is dissolved
Remove from heat and add mint
Steep until mixture has cooled to room temperature
Pour through a wire mesh strainer into a serving container (or lidded jar), and discard the mint and berries.
Keeps for one month in the refrigerator
